The Kmart Closet and Leaking Boobs!

Hey! Hey! So as you can tell by the title this ones about my ever growing bump, my Kmart closet and yep! You read right! My Leaking Boobs!
Lets start off with that Kmart closet... From that 12 week mark by bump really started to pop and I mean pop! I felt so horrible in everything I wore and as terrible as this sounds I was at that awkward bump stage where I just looked like I had packed a few on. After about a week of ripping clothes from my closet and throwing them all over my floor after trying them on I cracked it. I decided to take a drive to Kmart for some much needed bargain retail therapy.
First thing was first I went straight to the maternity section. Aside from some amazing jeans with fit like a glove I didn't buy much. Instead I then walked across the aisle to the stand with the $2.50 t-shirts! You bloody ripper! What a bargain!! I bought about 5 of these in my usual size 12 knowing they would be tight! And yeah! They sure were! And my god didn't they make me look pregnant! Because every pregnant gal is all about that fashion bump! I know I am.
Along with the jeans and t-shirts I also made a very wise investment in some granny undies. Yep no elastic, big old granny undies... the fancy ones with the lace on the trim. MMMMMM... Jacob is one lucky man. But really they are the most comfortable thing ever. I also picked up a few bras because I boobs grew!

And here's where we begin the next section of this blog. My boobs. Yep at the 18 week mark I came home from work, took off all of my clothes including those amazing maternity jeans and sexy granny undies, and I got in the steamy shower. Now I sleep naked. Always have and probably always will. So after my shower I dried off and waltz off to bed. Now at this point Jacob had already been in bed for about 5-10 minutes. As I lay there on my side, phone in hand up at my face while I stalk a few people on facebook I feel a wet substance on my inner bicep. "hmmm I wonder why my arm is wet". I wipe my arm dry and roll over to the other side. "what? why is my arm wet again?" I start thinking to myself what could this possibly be! And now that I'm a hormonal cow that can get a little snappy from time to time I started to get frustrated and take it out on Jacob like it was his fault that my arms kept getting wet.
Finally after a third time I have the 'light bulb' moment. "aaarrrrhhhh! My boobs!!" And now I had realised with delight what was leaking on my arm. It was in-fact breast milk. The hot shower triggered some leakage from the chest area and I was like a deer in headlights I did not expect this to be happening so soon!

I am now 21 weeks pregnant and the boobs are still leaking after hot showers especially! I have been back to Kmart about 1000 times and I think im addicted to online shopping for baby stuff but hey, I am enjoying every minute and Jacob is for sure enjoying those granny undies.

Until next time! Oh! and I swear it won't be such a long wait for the next one!

Tight, tight dresses and a new found confidence!

Hey there and welcome to the latest series of blogs! Bumpdates are apparently a thing and I am so on board!
It would be amazing to have you follow along as I journey through the joys of pregnancy and tell all when it comes to the shit, the ugly and the amazingly beautiful!

To start this series of blogs here is a little gallery of me posing in front of the camera in some tight ass dresses I would never wear if I wasn't pregnant! I have so much more confidence then before! Which also makes me wonder if I will just keep getting pregnant so I can wear these cute outfits haha.
Lets start at the start. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and my due date is the 4th December 2019! We found out we were pregnant and were instantly super excited! I was going to wait a week or so to tell Jacob but I just couldn't keep a secret like that from him! We told both sides of our parents with giftboxs that had bottles, dummies and clothes almost like a babysitting survival kit! Everyone was so excited! But then it meant we had to wait so many weeks until announcing it and that was the hardest part.
We announced our pregnancy with a short film incorporating our wedding song! Once the news was out we spoke about it freely to everyone and I went baby crazy buying bags of clothes!

I am going to describe my pregnancy and what I have experience in this past 17 weeks. So as soon as we found out I went straight to the shops and got myself some pregnancy vitamins and a large drink bottle to keep up with drinking plenty of water. I have not had any morning sickness at all but I do have acid reflux when I eat oily foods! I crave sugary lollies like Fruit Tingles and Jubes and can eat an entire grazing board to myself! I currently take precaution with what I eat and drink but do not completely hold back as I believe you can within reason do what you like when you are pregnant in terms of diet, exercise and work! I have the worst memory in the world, a hairy stomach and I am tired ALL the time! My skin is glowing with my acne clearing up a lot! I can no longer see my vagina which makes hair removal a little difficult! My boobs are getting bigger which looks great but they are sore and that doesn't feel so great! I get super hungry like I have the munchies but never hunger at meal times and last of all I am so emotional I am like a walking bag of tears! A few days ago Jacob looked at me and I cried... Yep! Emotional mess is now my new name!

Speaking of emotional mess here is a story! As many of you know I have gone back working full-time is childcare! The week before I told my work about the pregnancy I had made a mistake by not remembering to do a simple task (pregnancy brain). When I was asked about the situation I was shocked and felt like I hadn't done my job properly even though it was a simple mistake! I played it cool as best I could and tried to continue on with my day. Only 5 minutes later I was asked if I was okay by another co-worker. Well... that set me off like the backyard sprinkler you dad use to put on in a hot stinking summer. I balled my eyes out and tried to play it cool but it was not long before I had red eyes, a red face and I looked like shit. My bosses quickly found me and wondered why something so small had set me off. The following week I approached my work letting them know about my pregnancy. "This is probably why I had a break down" I had said to my boss. Her response was "well you know it crossed my mind". I just had to laugh and still now I talk and laugh about it because here I was all nervous to tell my work and they already had had an inkling because I am just so emotional haha!

Like I said we are super excited with this new step in our lives! We have some renovations to do to our spare room as we make it into the nursery it should be and we have been doing our best to prepare the house for a little one! Jacob is over the moon! Every night he kisses my belly and every morning he does the same! Send through some suggestions for the next blog! I am thinking maybe my new found love for maternity jeans! Thanks for reading and I hope you can follow along this journey with us as we wait for Baby 'OH'!

Love,
